Pasaban has been present in the 12th edition of Paperex (New Delhi). This event is the biggest exhibition and conference in Asia for the paper and pulp technology and Pasaban had to be there as a pioneer company in the paper and board converting industry.

Pasaban representatives for this exhibition have been Carlos Muriel from the commercial department and Mariano Sancho, responsible for the service department. Both of them were present together with EINTEC, our agent in India, and were able to hold direct meetings with our main customers in India.

Pasaban trademark is widely recognized in India due to the great reputation of their equipment  such as sheeters and winders, reaching the highest operational excellence. We are at the top position in the paper and board converting market as we have references in the main companies of this industry such as Bilt, ITC, JK Paper, TNPL, Trident and others.

A new order awarded to us for two new board sheeters of 1900 mm width just prior to the commencement of the exhibition by Emami Paper Mills Limited, a key player in the market, represents an excellent reference and a perfect argument in front of both our existing and potential customers in India.

Industry experts confirm in their latest report that India is an attractive market for the paper and pulp product. Even though India represents 15 % of the world population, it only consumes 2 % of the paper produced in the whole world. A yearly increase in demand is expected in values between 6 and 7 % with the packaging industry pointing towards  annual growth values between 22 and 25 %.
